To Anonymous with broken links to your linked SPO library: This is a pitiful situation. Microsoft left the cover off the manhole for any member of a Team to walk right in. Here's a description of the risk and the only mitigation available until it's fixed: https://blogs.perficient.com/2020/02/02/the-pains-of-renaming-channels-in-teams-2/

As our hospital's expert in Teams, I have had to address this several time. It's a gun sitting around waiting for any member to shoot their team in the foot. PLEASE, provide an update and timeline for resolution of this serious flaw.

It's been over a year. Please, can't we have a more current status of this critical vulnerability? Time has been lost in confusion and support when people shoot themselves in the foot with the gun Microsoft has left on the table. This is enough time.

Renaming the channels does not harm, though it can cause some confusion. The genuine danger is if the linked channel folder name in the SharePoint Documents library is renamed. That breaks the link and cannot be restored. I'm having to warn every Teams owner in our organization, and it's still getting away from us. PLEASE, fix this vulnerability. It's just far too easy for members of a Team to shoot themselves in the foot.

We are rolling out Teams to 3 state agencies and even the Microsoft trainers did not know about this issue. Shortly, we are going to have to provide support for people who, because than CAN rename things, WILL, and it will be ugly. Please provide an update on the timeline for resolution of this matter in the roadmap. Thank you.

This must also include other organizer-only rights, like downloading recordings and participants lists.

We also prefer to co-author documents in Publisher and really need this functionality.

    partially done  ·  Warren responded

The zoom feature has released to the public ring. Using CRTL + or CTRL – zoom in and out on a Windows PC.

I need to correct the information I provided last month about MAC. It appears the MAC version is still in testing and hasn’t yet gone out to the public. It is “In Testing” but will be coming to the public soon!

The item tracking this specific update can be found at: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/16933183/activity

There now is a UI element that tells you your current zoom level and a Setting within the UI to preset your zoom preference.

Since the zoom feature could very well cover the vast majority of user needs, based on the majority of comments and feedback, I will flag this item as Partially Done.

Thank you for all the feedback and support!

We see this as important since it is not yet possible to move a channel to another team. The feature is planned but in a backlog of prioritized work:
    https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16939708-move-channels-into-other-teams

Files can be moved. If posts could be preserved as an Excel export, this could at least be moved to a new location for historic reference.

Our state agency commonly uses an Outlook shared calendar to hold meeting appointments. With Skype for Business, we would have to create the link (and phone) info in a personal Outlook calendar, copy it, close the appointment in the personal calendar without saving, and paste the meeting link info into the shared calendar appointment. This worked. We can do the same with Teams, but things like setting particular presenters cannot be done in the meeting options. Basically, the Outlook shared calendar experience is poor with Teams meetings, and we are discontinuing SfB soon. We need a solution that works.

The team has delivered improvements to the New Meeting experience in Calendar such as optional attendees, richer custom recurrence UX, as well as enhanced meeting RSVPs.

To learn more about RSVPing to meetings in the Teams Calendar, how to create a recurring meeting, and the new meeting scheduling experience including the scheduling assistant, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/office/schedule-a-meeting-in-teams-943507a9-8583-4c58-b5d2-8ec8265e04e5.
