    Thank you for your reports. We released client and service updates this week, that address many MacOS-specific performance issues. We are also aware of recent performance issues with Microsoft Teams meetings, especially on laptops and when using external monitors.

    Very similar issues here: MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) (2.9GHz i5 w/16GB RAM) running Catalina. As soon as I start a video call, four or five "Microsoft Teams Helper" processes take up ~150% CPU and ~1GB of RAM between them. All other apps on the machine become almost unusable as a consequence.

    They're very distracting and make it hard to concentrate on other work within the Teams app. Bad UI design.

    Also finding this very annoying. I've heard, unofficially, that this is only affecting edu tenancies and is controlled by the MS edu team, not tenancy admins.
