The team has begun working on this feature. We’ll update as we have more details to share.
Hi everyone, the engineer working on this item has left the company and we’re working on replacing him. I wanted to give you that heads up because the work has paused, which extends our shipping date.
I really appreciate your patience as we work to get this back to actively worked on.
As the last status states, we have been testing for several months. Although many people have asked for this feature, we received a similar amount of feedback from other users that they prefer the Teams notifications and don’t want them changed. We are currently testing a feature for users to choose between Teams notifications & Windows notifications.
We will update you as work progresses.
We are currently testing the new Tasks app internally. We will share an update as soon as it’s available.
We are continuing to work on this feature. As with Windows notifications, we are also doing work to give users the choice between Teams notifications & Mac notifications.
We will update you as work progresses.
This is working today in the web client on Edge & Chrome. The team is actively investigating feasibility in the desktop client.
The team continues to make progress on this. We will share more details as we have them.
As stated in the last update, the ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is being implemented in stages for Desktop. Faster tenant switching functionality on the Windows client has been rolled out to the public ring fully, and Mac will begin rolling out soon. Work is in progress on cross-tenant notification improvements, and support for multiple accounts on desktop will follow. We’ll keep you posted!
Note: The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today.
Alex & the Teams team
We are excited to announce the 3×3 video view has been rolled out 100% to for Windows and Mac Clients. If you aren’t seeing 3×3 yet, please logout and log back in to the client.
We realize 3×3 is a start, but not good enough… as mentioned, we are continuing to work to include more videos during a meeting, as well as enabling support for mobile devices. Hence, the “partially done” status.
Please see documentation here: https://support.office.com/article/using-video-in-microsoft-teams-3647fc29-7b92-4c26-8c2d-8a596904cdae

@981017671-anonymous brutally honest and well put on every account.
Quoted original post below....
>The organisation I work for (6000 staff) just rolled Zoom out to everyone. Even after the upgrade to 3x3 in Teams rolled out to most staff (too bad Linux users, iOS users, Safari users...) there are just too many issues with Teams making it completely uncompetitive for serious virtual meetings.
>For instance: the constantly distracting random rearrangement of faces on screen with anything from 2 to 9 in the course of a meeting; inability to clearly know who's talking if they aren't one of the random faces on the grid; busy interface with other distracting Teams gumph and notifications going on in the background of the meeting; difficulty understanding how to schedule meetings for people who don't use Outlook or Teams in their normal work; poor user experience for people outside the organisation and those using the browser version; and still only being able to see a maximum of 9 people. These aren't niggles, each one is a deal breaker on its own. Cumulatively they drove a large organisation (with a bloated IT department that really does drink the MS Kool-Aid) to succumb to popular demand to roll Zoom out to all staff.
>If one day MS brings a robust, standalone videoconferencing solution to market, I'm sure they'll do well. But clearly at present baseline capability is somehow hampered by the Teams framework or some other O365 limitation. Since the start it's just tried to be too clever and too 'integrated' when what the vast majority of users want is a clean, simple, fit for purpose communication tool. While MS focused on cute backgrounds and supposed efficiencies of railroading video calling into the O365 ecosystem, Zoom (and others) delivered what people actually wanted.
Based on your feedback, we have increased the priority for this feature. The feature team is working on this and are planning to release this quarter. Stay tuned for updates. Thanks.
Thanks again for your feedback on this. The team has begun working on an option requiring everyone other than the meeting organizer to go thru the lobby. We will continue to evaluate our best option to release with increased priority.
This feature request is still on the backlog. No new information to share at this time.
Still under review by the feature team. Nothing new to report at this time.
