Thank you for your feedback! Our team is currently working on a significant update to add a broader and more diverse selection of emojis to Teams. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

While custom emoji would be great, this seems like it should be a given. I don't understand how "hungover" and "emo" part of the current, limited emoji set from the main menu.
For anyone else frustrated, I have found that the unicode emoji set IS accessible, but only through knowing its "name". The full set can be used by typing :emoji-name: directly into the text box. such as :woman_shrugging: or :cheese:. These emojis do not appear in the emoji search. At least - this is the case in my organization's MS Teams deployment.
