Thank you for your feedback. The team has this item under review. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
We are currently testing this feature internally, and will share an update as soon as it’s available. To learn more, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/MicrosoftTeams/sharing-files-in-teams.
Unfortunately because of changing priorities, this feature was moved to the backlog. The team hopes to pick it up again in the near future.
Hi everyone! If you do not want to use the OneNote Staff Notebook or any of the other default tabs across the various team types, we suggest creating an ‘Anyone’ team instead.
The ‘Anyone’ team will not include any add-ons by default and gives you the flexibility to use Teams however you would like. We understand that there are so many other ways you can use Teams that does not fit the Class/PLC/Staff team template. So ‘Anyone’ will be your best option!

It's vital that you allow this feature. I have a staff notebook that I don't want on our Teams page. It contains names of staff who don't even work for us anymore and I can't even change that. The sooner we have the ability to remove this tab the better. It's the most prominent tab and is never used. Please allow us the functionality to remove this or at least hide it.
