Agree MS in general has a real affinity for noise and notifications for EVERYTHING!!! I can understand if I were visually impaired that noise would be helpful, but I am not.
Do not want noise when teams opens. Do not want noises when when a meeting closes, do not want noise when calls come in or are made, especially do not want noises when people chat during a meeting. Do not want noise ever at all.
Banners or small pop-up windows, or the windows themselves closing is enough to see what it happening.
Every time I think I have silenced every notification, one more occurs.
Need one button to silence all.

When sharing a document on screen, I agree it is best not to have controls overlaying any of the document, so it should auto hide.
However, in roundtable conversations is there a way to keep the tool bar visible at all times?
Typically people mute when not speaking.
But very awkward to mouse over the bottom of the screen to show the toolbar, to be ready to unmute to jump into a conversation, only to have the darn thing dissappear.
Can I get the toolbar with my mute button to stay visible at all times?
