Hello wonderful educators and students! I read a report recently that nearly 750M students (of the worlds 1.6B students) attend schools that were closed in October due to the global pandemic. Please know that your Microsoft team is listening hard to the needs of this community.

Regarding assignments integration with Calendar, we have made significant progress and look forward to making this available everyone as soon as possible.

Can you provide any update when this will be coming as the last update was in July.

Are you able to provide any further feedback when this is due to be implemented. Even if there was an overview page for students so they can see all items due across all subjects. Would be even better if the teacher could also see a particular student view so they can see what’s outstanding for a student.

Thank you for working on it is it also possible to give students a global view so they can see a list of all assignment due by date or it’s hard for them to keep track.

This is a real requirement as to have a student having to look through over 20 classes manually to see what is outstanding. There should be one page telling them all the outstanding assignments with a click through.

Also is it possible to just allow inking tools to work on all formats of documents.

We need this for student assignments you can only annotate over word OneNote but not pdf or jpeg images.

Thank you for your feedback! Chat can be a powerful tool in educational settings, but we understand that in some environments chat can also come with student safety challenges. To assist schools where educator supervision in chats is desired, we have begun the roll out of our new Supervised Chat feature.

Supervised chat allows designated educators to initiate chats with students and blocks students from starting new chats unless an appropriate educator is present. When chat supervision is enabled, supervisors aren’t allowed to leave chats and other participants aren’t allowed to remove them, ensuring that chats involving students are properly supervised.

We are doing a gradual roll out of this feature so it may take a few weeks to get to your environment. We expect to be fully rolled out by the end of May 2021.

To learn more, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/supervise-chats-edu (admins) or https://support.microsoft.com/topic/supervised-chats-in-microsoft-teams-for-education-ad3aaafc-c85a-416f-95f9-d691f419cbb8 (end-users).

    It’s important to note…
