Thank you for your continued feedback, we have addressed #1 in the list above. Contextual search within a specific chat or channel is now available. To learn more, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/office/search-for-messages-and-more-in-teams-4a351520-33f4-42ab-a5ee-5fc0ab88b263.
The feature team continues to make progress on these asks, and we will share an update when one is available.

I suspect this may be a renderer issue as it's there is a similar bug present in MS Word, but for any text that is not currently loaded to memory, the search results will not show them. The message is not shown in context, only the one that returned a search hit as old messages are not loaded by default. To view the rest of it I had to scroll back all the way, after which the search shows messages in context.
Why is there no functional "Jump to message" option?
Additionally, the messages just abruptly stop, I've scrolled back as far as it allows but it cuts off halfway through a conversation. Where's the rest of my messages?

Thank you for your feedback. This feature is still on the backlog, and planned for later this year.
In the meantime, you can try using the keyboard shortcut to toggle mute (Ctrl+Shift+M). For more info on keyboard shortcuts, visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/keyboard-shortcuts-for-microsoft-teams-2e8e2a70-e8d8-4a19-949b-4c36dd5292d2.

Very disappointed with the response. The toggle mute "Shortcut" is completely useless - it's no quicker than clicking the on screen button, and it still requires Teams to be the active window. We need the ability for presenters and those who are working on other things, or looking at reference documents to be able to mute and unmute at a moment's notice. Having to wait 5-10 seconds for people to change windows before their mic can be unmuted every time they're asked a question is unacceptable. This causes a measurable financial loss every month - likely in the 100's or even 1000's when added up across the company.

Teams has some good potential, but they are so behind the curve - They can't even implement basic functions like this after 2 years? Very disappointed. If I had a choice I'd take any of the competitors over teams.

Apparently the chat history is stored in outlook, but Microsoft in their benevolent wisdom decided it was in our best interest to hide the folder and make it only accessible by running powershell commands on the mail server...
Stop taking away useful functions, if I want to hide a folder in outlook I'll do it myself!
