Thank you for your feedback! We are updating this as “Partialy Done” as our first step to solving for pinned posts has been released! Pinned posts allows users from a team to pin a message for everyone in the channel to be able to easily reference. While any message can be pinnable, we expect our users to use this feature to pin information like channel guidelines or important announcements. We know this doesn’t solve all pinning scenarios, and that there is still a need to make this easier for users to find, especially within the message list. We will share another update as soon as it is available.

While it is slightly more useful than having to bump topics down. Hiding pinned posts under an extra click and scroll action sort of goes against the whole idea of the post being "Important."

Not to sound pedantic but many of the users of Teams EDU both adult and child are NOT computer experts, much less well versed in how communication software in the vein of Teams works. Both the adults and the students need simple, obvious, clear options.

Teachers shouldn't have to jump through hoops to keep static information maintained in a single place on the page.

Discord, Reddit, Facebook, Yahoo Groups, Forums, BBS systems from 30 years ago now, and countless other communication group software places a pinned post at the top or bottom or otherwise most current location in the news feed. Even in OUTLOOK when you "Pin" something it stays at the top.

Thank you all for your continued feedback on this feature! We are still evaluating options, so for now the ‘Posts’ tab remains the default first tab for every team.

Great suggestions so far in the comments, but please do continue to share how you would use this feature so we can better understand the use case for our planning.

Hello wonderful educators and students! I read a report recently that nearly 750M students (of the worlds 1.6B students) attend schools that were closed in October due to the global pandemic. Please know that your Microsoft team is listening hard to the needs of this community.

Regarding assignments integration with Calendar, we have made significant progress and look forward to making this available everyone as soon as possible.
