The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.
Thanks!

@Alex
Almost 4 months after my previous comment and a lot of people asking for this feature - still no timeline.
How is it possible that iOS and Android can do it and Windows can't. I'd like to hear the reason behind this.
If I'm not mistaken this is the 2nd most wanted feature on User Voice so what priority does it get?An error occurred while saving the comment Geert Maurissen commented
Give us at least a timeline when we can expect this. It is the 2nd most wanted feature!!
Going through the admin comments the effort put into this is at least questionable.
Jul 7, 2020 is repeating what was said on Dec 13, 2019 - this for me is no status update. On top having this feature available on iOS & Android AND NOT ON WINDOWS is unbelievable.

41,862 votesThank you for your continued feedback. As many people have pointed out, this is available on mobile today. Support for replying to a specific message is on the backlog for desktop. I’ll let you know when we have progress to share. Thanks.

Also priority should NOT be LOWERED because of availability on mobile.
Having it on mobile is NOT a solution.
I'm not going to connect to my mobile just to reply on things this should definitely be available on the desktop app.
I hope the priority will be on things people ask and not on other features MS wants.
Is it possible to share at least a timeline for this?Geert Maurissen supported this idea ·

As Skype can do it I would expected Teams to have that possibility.
Trying to move from mail to chat but then this would be a requirement as already mentioned this information also belongs to project history/data.
You can argue that the possibility to export chat history of the teams chat group is already available by the admins but it should be a setting on company level to allow/disallow on user level.Geert Maurissen supported this idea ·
Finally some progress, that's already something ;-)
However most of us use multiple work accounts (tenants) as you can see from the comments.
My biggest problem is that notifications should come through from the other account not being the one signed in/having the focus to at that moment. Let's try and see if that comes with the personal/work account.
