For the people who keep saying "me too" but what you really want is sorting options for Team Members, this is NOT the suggestion for you! This one is for sorting the names of the Teams themselves. Please vote for https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/36978721-sorting-team-members if you want to sort the members of your Teams, which would be very nice to have! But this is just not the item to vote and comment on sorting Team members...

I keep seeing people asking for sorting of Team Members in these comments. This feature-request is NOT about sorting Team Members, but ONLY about sorting the Team names themselves. If you want alphabetical sorting of Team Members (a good idea!), go vote for that (https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/36978721-sorting-team-members). Also, if you need that feature now (especially for use cases like comparing to some other external list of members), please find a Power Automate "flow" for listing all the Team Members. I do this, and get a nice email with all the users, which I can load in Excel and sort by email, name, etc.

There is a workaround that's been posted here before. Just mark all (or most) of your Teams as "hidden", and then leave the Hidden Team section on the left open all the time. The hidden teams are always alphabetized. Since you can also pin a few channels to the top of the left-side panel, just leave your most critical channels pinned, and then "hide" all of your Teams.

One option (while we wait until this implemented) is to use a couple other features in Teams to make this a little easier. I'm in like 20 Teams, but only 3 which are really active. And in those, there's probably just 5 channels total that I need to watch closely. I "pin" those top-5 channels, so they're always first. Then those 3 teams come next (ordered manually by dragging the team name), and then the rest are "hidden". Note that hidden teams are automatically sorted alphabetically, and you can still show them, they're just at the bottom of the list.

You do know that you can sort the Teams manually right? At least in the desktop version. Supposed to work in the mobile version, but it seems broken, at least for me. Anyway, I just put my favorite teams at the top of the list. I still want this feature too, but it's not as big a deal (to me) as, say, allowing you to disable the "See more" feature so you can see the whole post immediately (https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/31544650-disabling-see-more).

I'm adding my vote for this feature, but I wanted to add a comment about some of the other comments below. This feature request is about adding an option to sort the Teams themselves. MANY of the comments are about sorting the channels within a team, which I agree with, but that should be submitted as a separate request! Do not try to combine requests, there's even less of a chance it will get done if it's a complex request. Same for sorting the tabs and the member list within a team. All good suggestions, but go create a new request, if those don't already exist.

If you can't wait for MS to add this feature, you can run a Power Automate "flow" to get an email with all the Team Members, including any properties you want (first name, last, email, etc.). You can then load into Excel and sort any way you want. Yes, it would be better to do in Teams, but there is a workaround...

As written, this request is out-of-date. There is no longer even the ability to sort by Last Name (or anthing) in Teams. Please see https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/36978721-sorting-team-members and vote for that more generic request.

Hey, last poster, why don't you do a little reading first. This has been fixed. See the comment from July 21.

@Joshua, that's pretty cool! I also like that the extension limits its "scope" to the Teams website. Nothing worse than installing a plugin that wants to "read and write data on all sites you visit".

Any chance it could do the same trick to show ALL the replies to a post? Currently, Teams seems to show just one reply (the last one?), and you need to click a link with a name like "2 replies from Bill and Ted" to see all the replies.
