The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.
Thanks!

As you can see though the many recent comments, this issue is quickly becoming a major hurdle for Teams usage. Please can you update where this is on your Roadmap. A link to the Microsoft Roadmap Item that covers this would be helpful as there does not appear to be one that covers this at the moment.

Appreciate the progress being made, however I agree with the vast majority of the comments here that personal account usage is not what the community needs, it's additional BUSINSESS accounts.
Honestly this ticket was opened in 2017! That's 3 years of back log and whilst I can appreciate that there's other identity related work going on, this should be sorted by now. We the community want Personal and Business accounts added within the same timeframe!!
