I'm not sure how best to figure it but we need to avoid files and folders created in sharepoint that you can't see in teams.

Somehow general should be the root showing all files in the connected document library and all other channels added to a folder called channels maybe.

Maybe general channel shouldn't actually exist at all. You click on the team, you just see posts associated to the root team.

Agree there needs to be a way to keep sharepoint and teams file systems in sync by stopping users manually creating files and folders in the root of document library

Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.

certainly needs some work done here, my app seems to lag a few hours after I first open it, a restart seems to fix temporarily, but it's not a long term solution. Teams is becoming so critical now to our business, so the App is got to be perfect.

For us as a business, we primarily use Windows 10, Office Suite and Teams App - it just makes sense to have this for a more integrated experience, a simple Group Policy settings for business would make sense, then it can optional.

Yes, this would be very useful for our Teams, I've had people ask about this since moving to Teams, especially Slack users that had this feature already. Ideally it would be configurable for different Channels.

Thank you for your continued feedback. The feature team is actively working on this feature as well as doing work to give users the choice to open Word/Excel/PowerPoint files by default in Browser, Office app or inside the Teams app. We will share an update here as soon as one is available.
