Thank you for your continued feedback. The feature team is actively working on this highly requested feature. We are testing the first release that will have the ability for meeting hosts to create breakout rooms, assign the users to the rooms and call them back to the main room. Work is continuing on this highly requested feature. We want to make sure that you can do collaborative learning or group tasks in an online class meeting or staff training.

I have been a fan of Teams since we started using it for collaborative purposes with my university but with the need to teach from a distance due to COVID-19, I quickly recognized that it was insufficient for classroom purposes. Unlike the video conferencing competitors, there is no way to have breakout rooms where people can go in and out of the primary meeting.
