we have this!  ·  Suphatra responded

Thank you so much for this feedback. I was actually sitting with a user yesterday who was struggling to add users to a channel because she was typing in names one by one, which is a normal inclination. I showed her that she can put any distribution list into the field (for example, all@mycompany.com) and it would invite everyone who is on that email address. Try it out and let me know if you have any more questions. I’ve also routed this feedback to design so they can implement a sign or something to show people that they can do this.

Thank you for helping us make Teams awesome!

    Sincerely,
    Suphatra

Except my company doesn't have a distribution list for the people I need to add or the permissions to create distribution lists, so no, actually you don't have this. :-(

NO NO NO, the suggestion is sound. This is why we provide feedback ... not to be told to do something else.

NO NO NO, "try this instead" is your way of NOT addressing what was suggested instead of taking feedback seriously.

Thanks everyone for your feedback on this. As more educators look for ways to create secure assessments (especially remotely) this is one of the options we are investigating.

The team is making progress on showing Office 365 group calendars in Teams. We will share more details as we have them.

Meanwhile, feel free to share what types of meetings do you create in the group calendars for classes and staff?

Hi everyone! If you do not want to use the OneNote Staff Notebook or any of the other default tabs across the various team types, we suggest creating an ‘Anyone’ team instead.

The ‘Anyone’ team will not include any add-ons by default and gives you the flexibility to use Teams however you would like. We understand that there are so many other ways you can use Teams that does not fit the Class/PLC/Staff team template. So ‘Anyone’ will be your best option!

More information on the different team types in Teams for Education can be found here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/choose-a-team-type-to-collaborate-in-microsoft-teams-0a971053-d640-4555-9fd7-f785c2b99e67

Feel free to reply back here if you have additional feedback.

    Thank you!
    Justin

I don't want to "try this instead". A feature was suggested because we don't like the way its done. How about this ... instead, you try giving people what they wanted.

Thank you all for your continued feedback on this feature! We are still evaluating options, so for now the ‘Posts’ tab remains the default first tab for every team.

Great suggestions so far in the comments, but please do continue to share how you would use this feature so we can better understand the use case for our planning.
