I get this request all the time across our org. Many people do work in evenings or weekends and want to post messages while top of mind yet not want to disturb others or force them to feel an obligation to respond. This leaves them resorting to email or creating notes and hoping they remember to send out OR actually disturbing others with a 3am ping. No one wants to use a 3rd party app for this. Security is king. Plus, the fact we can do in Outlook only makes people see this is an oversight - especially as we are trying to push Teams as the single, central communication and collaboration tool

This comes up a lot and I get asked about in my org. Not sure about others but in my org there are many of us that do work on evenings and weekends - not all the time but when we have some quiet time - and we have ideas or are following up and want to create posts while top of mind and we don't forget but don't want to disturb others force others to feel they have to respond. My CEO constantly asks me how he can do this...so it gets high level exposure

We are having the same issue with our users. ALL the previous systems we have used - even their mobile phones - all allow putting in a comma to indicate a pause, so they can auto dial someone with an extension number. This would appear to be a very simple capability to add, so is even more surprising as to why not enabled.

The mainstream 'webinar' vendors all provide a mechanism that allows a custom live event intro - either a separate slide/image or a way to share the first slide of the deck without opening up the audio. (For example, Goto Event lets the presenters/organizers work together in a separate audio bridge, making any last minutes changes, instructions before going live) all while the first slide is shared to the attendees with thank you, instructions, etc.
This cannot be done in Microsoft Live Events. Once the meeting is started all Presenter/Organizer/Producer audio will be heard by the entire audience.
There is no way to make sure the audience know this is the right event, place to be, etc, and some will simply drop off unless it starts exactly on time.

Fairly new to Teams and the most questions i get are on the General channel. I waste far too many cycles explaining this...if only I could rename it to something that makes sense it would save me hours
