Thank you for your continued feedback. As many people have pointed out, this is available on mobile today. Support for replying to a specific message is on the backlog for desktop. I’ll let you know when we have progress to share. Thanks.

This is the most asked feature request, which is not yet available in its fully-cooked form yet. The fact that it is available in mobile for so long, but it is not available in PC version yet, really surprises me. Either implement it already or state that it is never going to be part of the PC app, with convincing reasons (not technical challenges in implementing, but usability / ux types of reasons). I am really surprised that MS is keeping such a low complexity-high value feature in backlog for years.

PS: I know how to quote using the '>' character, but come on. This is not even close to having a "reply" button if you look at the usability. Please do not suggest this as a workaround.

MS treating this as an big item in the backlog, promising the feature soon etc. All this is really funny. Just implement it already! How much development time is required? Half an hour? As of now I am using the manual & laborious way of replying by copy pasting the message and adding it with the > prefix.

Thank you for your feedback. Our performance team is working on improving the overall performance of the Windows client. We expect to see performance jumps in the latest version of Electron rolling out (Electron 10).

The Teams Windows desktop app has been always a slow performing app since itis not native. Many a times it just get stuck after logging in. Stays like that for minutes. The app UI is not snappy at all. It takes up a lot of memory. Natively built (even c# win forms) applications perform in a much better way than these electron apps.
