Unfortunately private meetings (without a channel) don't have the archive function that a meeting in a channel has. I use it for student 1:1 supervision, creating a team for a single student creates a mess (and doesn't allow for working with a group of students in the same team). But it would be good to have the meeting in the channel.

Thank you for your continued feedback, we have not forgotten about this ask. We have a feature on the backlog for popping out content, so you will be able to see one screen with the video gallery and one screen with the shared content. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

For the separate feature ask for full screen option, please upvote and comment at https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/41277121

For split screen camera and desktop, please upvote and comment at https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/37118773

we have this!  ·  Suphatra responded

Thank you so much for this feedback. I was actually sitting with a user yesterday who was struggling to add users to a channel because she was typing in names one by one, which is a normal inclination. I showed her that she can put any distribution list into the field (for example, all@mycompany.com) and it would invite everyone who is on that email address. Try it out and let me know if you have any more questions. I’ve also routed this feedback to design so they can implement a sign or something to show people that they can do this.

Thank you for helping us make Teams awesome!

    Sincerely,
    Suphatra

With a lot of colleagues exploring teams to support teaching students online this is necessary now. We are ahead of IT support in this, and adding many students manually is just not feasible. Any way in which this could work is good. We have email lists for all students in a program year, but for optional lists this does not work. Supporting delimiters should not be too hard.

There is an option to disable startup. I want to start up (linux) so notifications work, but don't want to start the whole client window every time I log in to my computer. Many times I don't actually want to/need to work with teams first thing.

Hi everyone! If you do not want to use the OneNote Staff Notebook or any of the other default tabs across the various team types, we suggest creating an ‘Anyone’ team instead.

The ‘Anyone’ team will not include any add-ons by default and gives you the flexibility to use Teams however you would like. We understand that there are so many other ways you can use Teams that does not fit the Class/PLC/Staff team template. So ‘Anyone’ will be your best option!

More information on the different team types in Teams for Education can be found here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/choose-a-team-type-to-collaborate-in-microsoft-teams-0a971053-d640-4555-9fd7-f785c2b99e67

Feel free to reply back here if you have additional feedback.

    Thank you!
    Justin

The application should really provide much clearer information about what the consequences of the different choices are. In addition it should recognize that academic institutions do other things than teach and people may not be students or teachers.

A significant issue is the fact that there are no borders around the app. This means that when teams is in windowed mode on top of an app with white background (quite common) it is not clear where teams starts/end.

When forcing border/titlebar in kwin maximizing using the native controls actually breaks the app as it does not handle maximization driven by the window manager.
