Thank you for your feedback! The team has reviewed this request and has added it to our backlog for both Private to Standard (Public) and Standard (Public) to Private channel conversion. We will share an update as soon as it’s available.

Yes please!!!! This has happened to me twice already and I know we can create another group/channel but all the information and history is lost in addition to all the effort put into creating a sharepoint site interface with links and images videos, etc.. There should be a way to inactivate for 30 days to allow recovery. If not recovered in 30 days then it is deleted.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:
- Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook
- Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams
- Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

This continues to be on our backlog due to prioritization of other work items. We will update when there is more to share.

Yes, much needed to move a "pilot/test" channel into a "general" channel, since not all channels are just documents, mine are sharepoint / web page type that takes a lot of time to move and I would lose the history / date stamp of when things were added / uploaded.
