    For me, the ultimate solution worldwide would be to display Dec for 12 and Jan for 01 etc.
    If so, wherever it is in the date that is displayed there can be no argument on what the month is.
    p.e. 10/Dec/2019, Dec/10/2019, 2019/Dec/10 or 2019/10/Dec. Everybody will recognize, even if it is not the format they are used to.
    beats 10/12/2019, 12/10/2019, 2019/12/10 or 2019/10/12 by a mile.
    Second best thing I would say is the regional settings of the computer it is used on.
