Following up on this, search is worthless without the context. Gotta love how Microsoft is touting millions of users yet the only reason this is the case is because they force it to run/install in every user profile.
Why would you ONLY show the result of a search and not the context of the messages around it? How does this make any sense?
Anton, I'm sorry but that's a really terrible way to use search and I don't think its a bug. I think its an oversight as to how search actually worked. This entire application just feels so half baked. They want to be taken seriously and say they're better than Slack but simple things like this make it so hard to want to recommend to people to actually USE daily. Sometimes I need to search for messages that are months back. The problem with Teams is that loading any kind of historical messages (even ones from yesterday) is excruciatingly painful. It takes way too long to load any message that wasnt sent in the last day. So, when you suggest that I do a search and then scroll up to that message from 4 months ago, you can understand how long cumbersome and inefficient that method is, right? This really needs to get fixed but unfortunately these uservoice systems don't really ever push these issue to see the light of day. I'm going to have to find a different application.
Oh, and MS, please stop forcing the installation of Teams across all user profiles. This is borderline (if not) malware behaviorAnonymous supported this idea ·
