This issue is in our backlog, but we wanted to share a workaround that may help in the meantime. You may run into this issue if your Outlook client is logged into a different account than your Teams client.

As a workaround, when you join the meeting, make sure your Outlook client and Teams client are logged into the same account that the meeting was scheduled from.

It is embarassing to see Office not respecting the ecosystem.
The app does not appear in the settings - notifications where every other application is listed and can be banned for notifications.
This is happening on every platform but Windows, really embarassing.

Also, the settings - notifications menu is NOT available on certain flavors of the teams client, which is even worse because it does not respect the users.

This is not a wish, this is a bug!
