We have an event coming in October where remote control would be critical to making the event a success. Realistically, we will have to make a decision on this by the end of August. Microsoft really needs to step up it's support of features in Linux, or else we will need to go find an alternative solution.

This is part of a larger issue of Linux features generally lagging behind other clients by several months. See also https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/40324324-keep-the-linux-client-up-to-date-with-the-latest-f

A Linux client is now available. Screen sharing is supported, but remote control (and several other features) are not. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app on a Linux system.

As a Teams administrator, I am excited to see new features continuing to be added. But I am also dismayed at the implied prioritization of the Teams management. Is it really more important to move a few system messages into a new side pane than it is to bring all Linux users up to parity with the current features???

I'm disappointed that this ticket is even needed. That we are paying customers should be enough of a reason to maintain parity with the other platforms.

Careful! That would make it look more like Slack! :D Seriously, though, having to switch back and forth between these two groups/tabs is one of the most annoying features of Teams. There's no good reason to keep them separate, and several good reasons to combine them.

The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

    Thanks!
