This feature is still not available. While in Teams it prints to PDF. Same as before. However, if you open it in the Word App (more clicks) then the File > Print works without creating a PDF.

It is hard to figure out how to print a file from Teams. It insists on creating a PDF first which is like Google. Please provide a print icon. This request has been duplicated many times. It is obvious it is needed. Is there an update on the status?

Hi everyone! If you do not want to use the OneNote Staff Notebook or any of the other default tabs across the various team types, we suggest creating an ‘Anyone’ team instead.

The ‘Anyone’ team will not include any add-ons by default and gives you the flexibility to use Teams however you would like. We understand that there are so many other ways you can use Teams that does not fit the Class/PLC/Staff team template. So ‘Anyone’ will be your best option!

More information on the different team types in Teams for Education can be found here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/choose-a-team-type-to-collaborate-in-microsoft-teams-0a971053-d640-4555-9fd7-f785c2b99e67

Feel free to reply back here if you have additional feedback.

    Thank you!
    Justin

There is no option for an "Anyone" team under Create a team. Maybe there was in the past but it's not there now. And suddenly I have Staff Notebooks being forced upon us, too, even though I selected "Other" for my teams. I have never used Class, PLC nor Staff. **Microsoft:** Just because an organization is "educational" doesn't necessarily mean they will be using it solely with students.

I did not choose the Staff team type. I chose "Other" but Staff Notebooks have started appearing in my Other teams despite my best efforts.

Adding a website tab does not work. I just tried it. It reverts to your personal calendar.

"I found instructions on how to CREATE a SharePoint calendar in Teams, that can then be linked to the Desktop teams. However, the link created doesn't seem to work for Educational course-based teams. The linked calendar just reverts to a personal Outlook calendar. The team has delivered improvements to the New Meeting experience in Calendar such as optional attendees, richer custom recurrence UX, as well as enhanced meeting RSVPs.

To learn more about RSVPing to meetings in the Teams Calendar, how to create a recurring meeting, and the new meeting scheduling experience including the scheduling assistant, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/office/schedule-a-meeting-in-teams-943507a9-8583-4c58-b5d2-8ec8265e04e5.

Our educators do not use Teams with students. We use it for business and do not need the Assignments button. Please give organizations the option to customize the left navigation and hide or remove this button.

we have this!  ·  Justin Chando responded

If you’re not planning on using the class functionality in Teams, O365 IT Admins can remove the Assignments app in the Teams Admin Center under Teams apps > ‘Permission policies’.

You can set a user policy (remove it for a set of users) or a global one that removes the Assignments app for everyone in your tenant.

Before you do this, make sure to double check if any faculty are using Assignments. We’ve seen Assignments be used in all sorts of ways successfully, even without students. You can always add back Assignments by removing the policy.

I see this is being asked for in multiple ideas. Obviously, it is needed out here.
