    fully agree to this request!
SharePoint has so many additional features which might never become available in MS Teams and we are a crowd of not-so-dummy users who want to use the SP feature (authorizations, versioning, additional fields/columns,open in native app, etc).
So I have added the respective underlying SP site as a separate tab called "files via SP" but I can't remove the default "files" tab (or at least move it out to the far right/hide it).
This leads to people clicking on the default "files" tab and then being frustrated that the clicked document doesn't open in the native app and that the additional fields can't be maintained without first moving over to SP either way.
I'm almost about asking my users to ignore Teams and just use SP instead... is that the intent?

agree, this should be 2 different "tabs" next to each other in the "chat" section. It is completely useless to have a drop-down list there.
Especially as the "chat" drop-down is not visible with any notifications in case the "contacts" drop-down had been selected last time. So if somebody chats you, you first need to find it "behind" the contacts list....
Maybe also rename from "contacts" to "favorites" or "groups" like it is in Skype - I assume that it is supposed to provide the same feature as having specific grouped contacts for easier access to chat/call like in Skype.
    And to the moderators:
can you kindly merge all the requests which cover this feature - so that the total of votes is summed up for all of them? thanks!

agree: MS Teams developers, please talk to Skype developers (or maybe to a Skype user, might also help ;-) )

is there any admin/content owner in this user voice forum who manages duplicate entries and merges them, please?
The "welcome message" in this forum states "Duplicates are merged together" - but I don't have the impression this is the case, at least not for this user requirement...
This feature would have more votes if everybody was routed to 1 central entry....
    thanks much for consolidating!

    yes, indeed very annoying!
If you get a chat notification, you must remember that you had this specific chat in a popout window and ignore the notification (don't click on it ;-) ).
Instead, you need to manually open the popout window with that chat in order not to lose the active Teams' windows focus with your main work item.
I still don't get the point why it is not possible to have several Teams instances open anyway, like it is in other Office apps...
    Please make this useful!

    @RFCom:
I don't think that the user wants the same feature as in your "duplicate" link - to me, it rather sounds like he wants to see the list of real participants from a meeting after it has been completed.
Today, we can only see who was invited (they all show up as "joined the meeting" which is actually not true as they only accepted the meeting but might not have participated) but not who had actually joined...
I'd also need this information as it is not possible for me as a host to constantly watch the list of participants in the 2nd screen and keep track on who joined late or left early.
When using Skype, we can see the list of "real" participants after the call via the "conversation history" in Outlook.
I would expect that the history of people who have really participated in that call are visible somewhere in the respective MS Teams meeting.
