Definitely need separate audio streams with NDI.

When testing I found that if I made a custom layout in different production tools with multiple cameras, it also added the audio stream automatically.
Since each NDI camera includes the full mix of audio we get 3 or 4 copies of the audio all slightly out of sync making it sound very echoey or robotic.
If I use just the active speaker audio feed I end up with video and audio being out of sync.

    So neither option is useable.

Microsoft is recommending we use some other service for shortening urls in conjunction with Stream and Teams live events.
This is in case you need to change the link.
Bit.ly doesn't allow you to edit links and tiny url requires you to pay.

So MS is giving suggestions that either don't work or give money to someone else.

Such a simple high demand item should be put in place ASAP.

1 or 2 more basic layouts would be great. Especially 2 speakers side by side or content plus two speakers.

I can make custom layouts with external encoder but that means I lose some features because its a Stream event really.
It would be nice to have some feature parity to avoid having to force an external encoder back into teams through a virtual camera which does weird things to the audio and video.

Losing public events and live translations is often a show stopper.

If you are a speaker in a live event the producer needs to be able to mute AND unmute speakers.
This isn't a privacy risk as the people are specifically invited as a speaker for a large event they should know and be ready to speak and be on camera at any time.

I don't need to turn their camera on but being able to unmute speakers that forget or because I had to mute them for creating noise is a must have.
It just like when producing an in room event I control every speaker and mic in the room.

Sometimes they are in a meeting room and the mute and unmute button is far away and therefore can't control it themselves.

Phone participants don't realize they are muted and can't figure out how to unmute.

Yes, we need this for sure.

I get the privacy concerns but in a live event a producer needs to be in control.
A compromise would be to have it optional. Perhaps the producer can request this permission at the start and then speakers can opt out of producer controlled mics.

Another option is if the producer muted a mic they should be able to unmute a mic.
There are cases where this is necessary.
Sometimes you mute someone because they are generating background noise but you need to unmute them again when they speak because they won't realize someone muted them.

Another case is when muting phone lines or an audio bridge to another system.
    The bridge can't unmute itself.

And of course you may accidentally mute a speaker when trying to queue them up and now you need to unmute them quickly so you avoid the confusion and awkward silence.

I need to pin group chats for events and order them by date.

The frustrating thing is I can only pin 15.

Definitely need a channel or Team admin to have the option to disable meet now in certain channels.

It is causing mass confusion. I think the users are clicking the button thinking they are joining an existing meeting but it is creating a meeting which then confuses more users.

We can't disable new posts but they shouldn't be creating meetings for the whole channel.

Yeah i didn't know this was a thing at first until a major event was about to go live.
There should be a warning when inviting speakers.

Also teams meetings can go up to 49 so we should be able to do the same in a live event.

This makes sense but in the day of live streaming we need this to increase.
Events often have 10, 12, 20 presenters and turning cameras off and on adds delay and extra work for speakers.

I just found this article that mentions that NDI support is coming to Teams meetings!

Yes, I'm racking my brain trying to find a way to get Teams live events video to work in certain complex scenarios and I'm stuck.

Skype was more flexible in that you could at least break out the video, chat, and presentation into separate windows and then capture those screens to HDMI or NDI feeds.

It's very difficult to describe all the situations I encounter but Teams has made it impossible to tie in remote callers or rooms to professional webcasts.
