I also need to EMAIL the members and owners of a team so it goes to their normal INBOX. They don't look at the group's inbox. I post a weekly Tip on a team and want them to know about it without going to Teams.

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.

Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

I found an option to add a link that prompts to open the Teams app and goes to a team's General channel.

    1. Go to the team's SharePoint Online site
    2. Click Edit on the quick launch (left side)
    3. Place the mouse so it shows the option to add a link
    4. Click the menu at the top
    5. Choose Teams (screenshot attached)

This added a quick launch link that prompts if the user wants to use the Teams app vs. the Website.
You can copy that link to use it in an email or on a page.

This is the same link that you can copy while in the Teams app to get a link to the team.
    1. Click the ... to the right of the Team's name
    2. Click "Get link to Team"
    3. Copy the link
