Thank you for your votes and comments on this feature. The team is in the process of finalizing designs for deleting private chat threads. I will update as we have more progress to share.

"finalising designs" - 6 months ago.
Why, oh WHY, is everything at MS so glacially SLOW? Except when it comes to marketing bells and whistles or being forced to keep up with the opposition....?
We NEED to be able to delete posts that we don't want any more!

Thank you for the interest in meeting with research. All slots have been filled (in under 6 minutes).
This item remains on the backlog for now. Thanks!

As we try and roll out Teams this request quickly becomes a requirement. The lack of it is a massive restriction and a recipe for chaos. IT SHOULD NOT BE ON THE BACKLOG!
Let us know MS thoughts on this and give a commitment. To say you’re working on it, then it’s on the backlog, then you want our views, and then it’s back on the backlog is no help whatsoever.

ADMIN - Please also note that interviewing 10 people is not really enough. List your bullet point thoughts on how you’re thinking of moving forward and ask for feedback before any coding!

This is the sort of feature that should have been in the Teams roadmap without us even asking..... The use case is so compelling it’s a no brainer. MS so desperately needs to involve real world users at a MUCH earlier stage of design.

Why on earth has this only got 90 votes? Have I missed something! It’s such a no brainer I can’t believe it wasn’t in the original thinking.

The fix for notifications not appearing/playing when Teams is minimized is rolling out to the public ring. We expect it to be rolled out 100% by the weekend – I’ll update this item at that point.
Thanks!

The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.
Thanks!

Wow! I get an email with an update - that basically confirms after 3 years it’s still not done. Whoopee 😀

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.
Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

“Try this instead” is NOT the answer! Being able to move a conversation is....
As others have said, I often wonder whether MS employees use their own products! 😳

Due to a priority shift this request has slipped to the backlog. I hate to bring bad news. I will continue to provide the feature team your feedback and votes.
Hopefully this will move back up in the queue soon.-Warren

Thank you for your feedback! We are updating this as “Partialy Done” as our first step to solving for pinned posts has been released! Pinned posts allows users from a team to pin a message for everyone in the channel to be able to easily reference. While any message can be pinnable, we expect our users to use this feature to pin information like channel guidelines or important announcements. We know this doesn’t solve all pinning scenarios, and that there is still a need to make this easier for users to find, especially within the message list. We will share another update as soon as it is available.
