Replying to Peter an Anonymous below. The Communication APIs will include call recording and are slowly being released, many features are in preview at this time. They do not include any call controls so far. the Client APIs are not in preview at this point yet. Ideal would be something to match the power of the Lync 2013 SDK.

I am in sales for Attendant Pro and a lot of our clients want to move to Teams but can't until they get similar functionality in Teams. If we get the API's as listed above Landis and a lot of other companies would rush in to fill the niche requirements and allow people to move forward.

The UI is getting better but the APIs are still lacking. That would allow people to create the extensions that make it work in all scenarios.

This is a huge need for so many people. Windows Phone died because of not enough 3rd party apps. Is Microsoft going to make the same mistake again? : (

I am glad to see that it is being reviewed. One small step for an Engineer, One Giant leap for Microsoft Teams. :)
