I would consider this base functionality for any professional messaging/communication service, so I am really surprises this is not yet available. Searching for some not-so-specific data will result in thousands of hits when I search in Teams, because it searches *all* teams, channels and chats that are visible to me. Sometimes, the search term just cannot be made specific enough so it will only hit that one conversation, so having the ability to narrow down *where* to search is really essential functionality.
Similarly, once I found an entry, I usually need not just this message, but the conversation surrounding it, so having the ability to directly jump to the message found is also essential functionality if Teams is intended to be the "one-stop communication tool"

Fun fact: today, my Teams notification got hidden behind MS's own update notification 😱
