This feature item is still in the works. We will keep you posted as we have new info from the feature team.
ETA please? This is essential.
We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.
Please add channels without having to create a Team. It's completely unnecessary and makes it impossible to tell who is actually in and also active in a channel.
We’re currently working on defining a compact mode experience. I will post more details when we have more to share.
With all the developers Microsoft has why is this taking so long. Teams is basically unusable without a compact mode and the removal of having threads on by default. 5 messages take the same space as 30 in Slack. It's completely ridiculous.
Please add a way to remove the chat bubbles. This is now my primary communication tool and I need to have a professional tool. Just copy Slack and be done with it.
We will not be doing this request at this time, due to other high priority engineering that the product needs. But we really appreciate the feedback and are listening to every one that you submit in this forum. Thank you!
This should be a priority. The current themes are awful and makes Teams hard to use.
This request is still being considered by the feature team but a final decision has not yet been made. I’m still awaiting more details.
Please allow option to make disable threads or change the default from threaded conversation to non-threaded, but still allow for them. The view is not compact enough and threads hog up the space. They are also annoying because people do not always reply to a thread and then a thread auto collapses. The UI is pretty terrible. Most of the time one single conversation is fine, but the option to add a thread would be great.
