    Interesting, this isn't the case in my org, as first-name-only queries work; so it may have something to do with how your org stores data.

    That said in either case, WhoBot should be able to handle this case properly.

    This may not have been the case 2 years ago, but it seems like it is the case now. At least when I interact with the Who bot in a 1 on 1 chat, I don't have to use @
