Multi-window chat is in testing. I hope to have great news regarding rollout to the public rings soon.
We are working to ensure that multi-window and other future multi-window experiences are of the highest quality when they release.
Like to be able to tear-off Chat windows and have multiple windows sitting on my second monitor throughout the day. Chat is a great too and as it use to be in Skype, able to have multiple chat windows open at one time, that function seems to be gone 3 versions ago. Miss it.
This is a feature I would love to see. Much like how Skype use to be able to have multiple chat windows open. I have 4 people that we like to have windows open and bounce quickly/easily back-n-forth, especially when you use multiple monitors. Can have all chat windows on side monitor and still work in Teams or other Apps throughout the day. Or does Trillian need to make a plug-in into Teams? ;-)
I really don't like to have to navigate through the chat list. Like to just drag a chat out onto my desktop and leave it there. Having however many chat windows I need open for my team.
As stated in the last update, the ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is being implemented in stages for Desktop. Faster tenant switching functionality on the Windows client has been rolled out to the public ring fully, and Mac will begin rolling out soon. Work is in progress on cross-tenant notification improvements, and support for multiple accounts on desktop will follow. We’ll keep you posted!
Note: The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today.
Alex & the Teams team
I'm begging for this feature. I'm on 4 Teams and all under different emails because of conflicts of how Teams login works. I would love a feature where under one login I can associate or link the multiple teams. Or at least have in my Profile a pull-down to switch between those login accounts. It's a huge waste of my time to have to logout, then re-login to just respond to a Chat or @ mentions.
Please!!! I'd think this would be an easy one for you guy Microsoft.
I agree!! I have 3 files I want shared between groups. Also, since Teams works in its own library and path there are files in our master SharePoint that I would like to have a link to in the Team files folder.
Another similar would be Folder shortcuts to SharePoint master folders in 'Shared Documents' As CMO/CTO I don't want duplicate files all over the place and not everyone on the same page (literally)
