An alternative to the screensaver would be a custom theme that does more than change the background image, but also changes the clock location. Then that theme can be applied remotely or swapped in through task scheduler.
A DIY might be that if you have dual screen setup for MTR, swap the monitors daily. That's not ideal, but it might work.

This would be very useful, especially since small LCD touch screen displays for the Pi are so cheap as well and could serve as the UI. I've tried to hack a room system together on a NUC/BRIX using a third party touch screen panel and it never works due to some lock-in around the touch panel that the room system image is expecting. I can see why Microsoft would be adverse to non-certified hardware solutions though, as it could damage the reputation of the platform as a whole.

The primary benefit of BToE was that when making a call from the teams app, it would initiate the call over the phone unit rather than computer audio.

Even with the latest release, the "Better Together" feature is limited to meetings. I'm running 58.15.0.110 on my Yealink T58A and can confirm that when dialing from the Teams app, it doesn't run the call out via the phone, even when the connected phone is set as the default audio device in Teams.

Weak sauce. Glad Microsoft is FINALLY starting to think about this years after the entirely false "feature parity" statement they made, but we still have a ways to go here to reclaim the good integration experience that S4B had with 3pip phones. This broken UX was one of the biggest setbacks we saw with our customers when the Teams rollout was pushed.

    Glad you all are reviewing.
I just want to be able to click on a phone number and have it dial on my phone. I don't care if it's paired over ethernet, bluetooth or USB, but not having this capability killed one of the features that had a track record of winning customers over to desk phones again.

I think the best option right now is to disable password expiration, and enable compensating controls like MFA and complexity requirements, so users just do web sign-in on a 3PIP phone and forget it.
Microsoft's baseline configuration policy is going to soon dump password expiration on Windows 10, but it comes with the caveat that you should be using MFA and some detective controls to understand when a password gets compromised.

Having the "raise hand" feature in the client is all well and good, but people who are dialed in to the meeting should have this option via a star code, I believe webex uses *9. This doesn't seem terribly difficult to implement but it's really needed.

WTH? The expected behavior is: organizer mutes, only an organizer can unmute. Participant mutes themselves, only they can unmute themselves. Today, as an organizer I can't unmute a caller but instead have to walk them through using *6 to unmute themselves, which they shouldn't even be allowed to do.
Also.. there's no star code for raising your hand when dialed in, but I get that's a separate issue.

Yep, any electron-based app so includes Teams and VS Code. Have the same issue.
I do believe these workarounds are effective:
    Teams: C:\Users\[whatever]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Teams\Update.exe --processStart "Teams.exe" --process-start-args "--force-color-profile srgb"
    Code: run Code --force-color-profile srgb

Also, this interrupts games, which is annoying. For. every. IM, even though I have the screen up on a different monitor so I can see them anyway while in game. I understand there are a couple workarounds to this (moving taskbar, turning on DND) but a more elegant solution (since maybe I still want to show as available) is to just set notifications to show up on second monitor.
