There are at lease 5 different requests for this and another discussion on the MS techcommunity so maybe it's important......YES!!!!

I would be happy with zoom and crop. All the new 1080 cameras show way to much peripheral content and it's distracting. That said, do it right and offer color correction (auto and manual).

At least if there was an MS store app for a virtual camera like Manycam that would solve the issue. This needs to be hardware independent and available YESTERDAY.

Maybe you have not heard about Covid-19 and the fact that we ALL now work from HOME and use a WEB CAM.

700 Votes and almost 3 years. Waiting for a MS Comment

In MS's infinite wisdom, Teams lost all media controls, sans device selection, that were available in SFB.

While I think that each application should have it's own controls for AUDIO and VIDEO, I can see that it's reasonable to push this to the OS centrally. If this is the direction Teams should be able to directly open both the AUDIO and VIDEO config in Window's settings from the Team => Device Settings. Furthermore, it is probably appropriate to have a Profile tool to save criteria, as I can easily see wanting the ability to have different settings for different tools.

It's not clear today of the Windows 10 Camera App controls my Teams camera.

Hum, lets see posts in this thread go back 2 years and there are 421 votes. Does anyone read this?

We bought Teams to dial from Outlook, and it does that from the basic Contacts view (not People view), but once you open a contact card the only way to dial is copy and paste.

Teams should recognize a phone in ANY content (Browser, PDF, DOC, XLS, TXT, etc.) and dial it. It should work a LOT better with Outlook.

Hi — My apologies for the delay in updating this item. We rolled out a fix a year ago for a specific issue of status changing to away in Teams when you were still active on the device. We thought this had fixed the “incorrect status” issue. From comments below, it sounds like people are still seeing issues.

If you are still having issues, it would be super helpful if you can capture logs by typing Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 1, and send the file from your downloads folder along with device info and detailed repro steps to teamsml@microsoft.com.

    Thanks all!

ACCURATE PRESENCE INDICATION IS CRITICAL FOR REMOTE WORKERS

Teams status shows AVAILABLE when PC is in sleep mode. Teams should, IMHO, show OFFLINE when sleeping.

Status change, especially from AVAILABLE to OFFLINE takes to long. I can go from OFFLINE to AVAILABLE pretty fast (2-3 minutes), but it took about 15 minutes to show OFFLINE.

Documents related to Teams Status are not comprehensive. They do not discuss the status of the PC (Sleep, Lock, etc) and they do not discuss status related to multiple platforms (IOS and Android phones). There appear to be at least 3 meanings to the AWAY (yellow check box with check mark), AWAY, BE RIGHT BACK, LAST SEEN TIME nnn, OFF WORK. These are confusing. The last 5 APP CONFIGURED status need more definition, especially the last 5. What is OUT OF OFFICE, AVAILABLE? See IOS nots below.

As best I can tell I am AVAILABLE on IOS all the time. Background processing shows me AVAILABLE. Closing the APP is mostly available. Unclear if the BACKGROUND PROCESSING swith impacts presence. Only logging out and then closing the APP seems to set me unavailable.
No option to save password on mobile devices, making it challenging to Log-In

"Contacts" is broken in so many ways.
"Teams" is broken in so many ways.

Contacts can be managed in multiple objects in "Office"/Outlook (personal contacts, Groups, Public Folders, GAL), and none but the first of these objects are available in TEAMS or on PHONES.

SEAMLESS, NOT!!! We use a Public Folder for our Contacts as the GAL has limited fields and is hard to maintain. In any event neither is available in Teams.

Regarding Dialing form Outlook, why the "People"(head) view does not support dialing and all other contact views do is beyond me. (Yes, you CAN dial from Outlook thru Teams in the card and other views, Right-Click => Call)

Outlook also should have a default Phone Number type called Teams (Like Business, Home, etc) where I can clearly store my users Team Phone numbers.

Status control also needs some level of device configuration. (ie disable status checking on my phone)

I have Teams on my phone and it appears that background process will always keep me available even if my PC is off or sleeping. We have a Phone Plan and I need to get receive calls.

External users can not see status, so I do not want to penalize them, but all my colleagues think I work 24x7.
