try this instead  ·  Mark responded

    Hey everyone,

Thank you for your feedback! We support adding multiple pages to a single Wiki tab by choosing the “Create a new page” button on the bottom of the Table of Contents pane. This pane can be opened by tapping the menu button on the top-left of the Wiki.

We’re working to make the Table of Contents easily accessible on larger displays so that this option will be just a single tap away!

    Thanks,
    Mark

Yes please vote as that seems to be only way to get MS attention.

Even if you might not use a Wiki today you might need it in the future so leave your vote!

Microsoft why is this not getting any attention. Of course people will loose interest when they see a thread 3 years old without any response from you except a workaround that you guys feel is good enough.

Funny enough we use Azure DevOps as well and there you have exactly what we are looking for, how come you created in TFS/DevOps a useable Wiki but not in Teams?

Its not like you don't know how to make one, makes no sense what so ever.

    Mark,

your answer is not a solution, we understand you can create 1000 pages under a Wiki tab but for larger and more complex documentation it is just not a good solution.

To make documentation readable you cant put everything on one there has to be level of hierarchy, just look at the following example:

    Car (Page)
    - Engine (Page)
    - Pistons (Page)

the following page hierarchy makes sense

    Car (Page)
    Engine (Page)
    Pistons (Page)

as it is today make no sense.

Also as somebody also said to be able to move a wiki page or pages from one wiki to another is also a very important feature.

You might have a project that is used to develop a function, once that project is done all the info needs to be moved to another team and wiki as the function is put into production.

Today it is just way to much of an hassle to work efficiently with documentation in teams, Teams have a great concept but it is just missing business oriented functions like this to be practical in real life.

I cant understand how this was not one of the default features of an collaboration application like this, the whole point is to be able to collaborate in projects.

For a consultancy like our that means new projects are constantly being created and you cant have a separate team for all your projects as that creates to many teams to keep things organized.

You create one project team and in there one channel for each project to keep things separate, to be able to speed up creating new projects one would like to have 2-3 project channel templates that can be copied to kick of a new project.

This way it is today every single project needs to be created from scratch which is a big waste of time as each project has a file structure, minimum a planner app with buckets and even maybe standard tasks that are always completed on new projects.

To be able to set up these defaults and then just copy that channel would be a huge time saver and make Teams the give choice for handling project in, right now it just requires to much overhead to manage projects.

If you feel this would benefit your organization vote for this feature as from the looks of it Microsoft have not even reacted on this issue yet so it needs more votes to get on their radar.

This is really needed as we just ran into an issue that feel very related to this, we had an issues with a AD Account and a new account was made for the user ending with a "1". As the main issue was resolved with the AD account and it was recreated without the "1" teams did not seem to understand.

This resulted in that for all users that have had a conversation with the account ending with "1" cannot remove the chat history or the reference to this duplicate account.

So when you search in teams you can see two accounts for the same user and it cannot be deleted.

Extremely frustrating as this orphan account of course does not work and is completely gone in the O365 Admin Panel but still lingers in the teams app for all users that has touched this account.

For users that have not sent a message or had a conference with the orphan account they do not see this account when searching in teams so its almost like a cache thing.

    Regards,
    Claudio

The same problem exists in Planner, the tool is made for re-iterating tasks just like the Wiki but no template option!

Forgot to mention, why is there no response from a single Microsoft employee on this, what is the point with a uservoice if nobody is listening?

I dont understand how they can build a tool that is so perfect for Documentation but completly not see that not providing a template option makes it just unusable in 90% of all cases!

Teams is made for the ability to scrap OneNote and Word documents where you always fill in the same info, like meeting notes, project documentation or other process documentation.

To be able to copy a page or even better create a template which you can then just choose when creating a new page would make team absolut awesome.

The Wiki would also benifit from making it possible to create a page under a page in a multi-level tree structure as a real Wiki!
