Work on meeting reminder for Teams meetings is in progress.

Hey there! Wondering if this idea also includes how long before a meeting starts the Join button appears in the channel. Can that time frame be adjusted, so if the host is online 10 minutes early, others can join too? Just wondering how much will be configurable.

Group Calendar is a priority for the team, and the feature team is continuing work on it. You’ll start to see some incremental improvements. We look forward to sharing more details and timeframes soon.
Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback! The team has reviewed this request and has added it to our backlog for both Standard (Public) to Private and Private to Standard (Public) channel conversion. We will share an update as soon as it’s available.

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.
Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

Also, there's no cursor focus when the dialog box opens. I have to click into the field each time. Minor issue, but annoying.

I was expecting to see the same type of window when adding members to a Team. Type the name, let Teams find the user, add a comma, type another name.

Thank you for your continued feedback. We are in the process of testing the downloading of the attendance report after the meeting has concluded. For status updates, please view the roadmap item here, https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Teams&searchterms=66459.
Download of the meeting attendance list during a meeting is released for general availability. Please note this feature is turned off by default, and needs to be enabled via admin policy. To learn more, please visit our support page at https://support.office.com/article/download-attendance-reports-in-teams-ae7cf170-530c-47d3-84c1-3aedac74d310.

I also work in Higher Ed and am not faculty. I work in IT. I'm "staff" but I don't need assignments. The use cases for IT projects and teams are endless - and none of them involve teachers assigning homework.

Hi everyone! If you do not want to use the OneNote Staff Notebook or any of the other default tabs across the various team types, we suggest creating an ‘Anyone’ team instead.
The ‘Anyone’ team will not include any add-ons by default and gives you the flexibility to use Teams however you would like. We understand that there are so many other ways you can use Teams that does not fit the Class/PLC/Staff team template. So ‘Anyone’ will be your best option!
More information on the different team types in Teams for Education can be found here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/choose-a-team-type-to-collaborate-in-microsoft-teams-0a971053-d640-4555-9fd7-f785c2b99e67
Feel free to reply back here if you have additional feedback.
Thank you!

Would be helpful to be able to change Team settings after setup - especially when you're trying to figure out how to use the tool. So many people pick Staff as the type of Notebook and then end up with stuff they don't need. Ability to change or remove notebook types seems like a reasonable fix.

I really miss the color codes I have applied to my categories in Outlook. At a glance - those color codes help determine priority and help switch modes in my brain.
