Thank you for your continued feedback! We are happy to share that we have rolled out 800+ emojis to our Desktop and Web platforms, with Mobile rolling out in the coming months. This update includes 6 skin tone options, different genders for applicable emojis, and emojis featuring people with disabilities. Please note that you can also add native OS emojis using “Win + .” shortcut in Windows and “Cmd + Ctrl + Space” in MacOS.

Today, you can add a custom meme with your own caption in the Sticker/Memes feature. To learn more, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/send-an-emoji-gif-or-sticker-in-teams-174248c9-e64d-4de1-9f41-3199cc0751ad.

    In public preview...

"The ability to add custom emojis and custom reactions is still under review, and we will share an update as soon as one is available."

So I take it no custom emoji and we will have to open a new request and start the vote count back at 0?!!!

Whelp, looks like it'll be another 4.5 years wait till it's even considered again.
EDIT: Looks like MS isn't going to use uservoice anymore. I don't think we will ever get this feature. Not until old-timer, big business, enterprise-worthy, bossman who is blocking this feature either leaves or retires.

Great that we get more emojis but the idea of this vote was about custom emoji.

Do we have to create another vote that specifically only states desire for custom emoji and then wait 5 more years for it to even be considered?

"The ability to add custom emojis and custom reactions is still under review"

Does that mean once more emoji are added which are "approved and enterprise-worthy for a safe work environment" that we will have to open another vote for custom emoji and start back at 0 votes?

The idea of this request is not more approved emoji but the ability for companies to add their own custom emoji.

"Think of chat messages as your virtual watercooler and set yourself a reminder to check in with people regularly. Emojis, GIFs, and stickers are a fun way to keep the chatter fun and light."

Remember to keep things fun and post emojis and gifs!!! but only the approved built-in emoji and heavily moderated giphy gifs that Microsoft deem business appropriate. Don't be posting none of that custom stuff that might make MS look bad.

Someone needs to find a 🌈on St, Pats day and take the pot of gold so that the leprechaun will grant a wish of adding custom emoji to MS Teams

Eagerly waiting for the MS Ignite presentation of custom emoji in Teams... well, one can hope can't they? Oh yeah backlogged since 2018. I guess not 😒

Placing bets... Which will happen first?
Skype for business is sunsetted in favor of Teams

Now that Slack for Business Online is being retired maybe you can move some people on that team to implement custom emoji's in Teams

You know what's sad? If they announced custom emoji's for Teams at Build this year it would probably have been the most talked about thing to come out of the conference. So if whoever at MS thinks this is a stupid un-needed feature I'd bet you adding custom emoji and announcing it at any of the MS conferences would get a standing ovation.
