Having a pane on the right of the desktop/web client to show those pinned posts/conversations would be a great asset.

    furthermore pinning
    a) a text, with instructions or rules
    b) files

on that pane would be also a great feature.

The similarity among the two buttons is a huge issue for teams with lots of members as users open new threads and you lose track of your original post and the notifications you expected to get.

The substantially different mobile button, as suggested, is a great idea. We observe all errors to be originating from web/desktop edition users.

IMO deleting messages should not be done without history UNLESS there is the capability to delete the message only if it has not been delivered and viewed by the other member (which cannot be guaranteed, but there can be some transparent rules for this, which is fair enough for me).

It is quite essential to allow edits so as to fix typos and grammatical errors while leaving the message meaning intact. Furthermore erroneous messages should be removed from threads in order to create clean dialogs.

However without history all those can be misused which is a huge issue if Teams is used for formal communication among company branches and/or the Company and Customers.

Having history visible to all, allows transparency on those edits. Otherwise we are forced to disable edits, which makes users even more careful to properly author messages, which, in most cases, leads to unnecessary loss of time.
