45,223 votesThank you for your continued feedback. As many people have pointed out, this is available on mobile today. Support for replying to a specific message is on the backlog for desktop. I’ll let you know when we have progress to share. Thanks.

This seems like such a simple and obvious feature to add - I really don't understand why this is put on the backlog for the Desktop version (my and likely others' use of teams = 98% Desktop vs. 2% Mobile).

Please add this feature to Desktop version! It's so simple - I can't believe it's not a thing!

Thank you for the feedback. Changing the default setting is under review by the feature team, and your feedback is very useful as they are evaluating.

Totally agree! What is also frustrating is that not many people know about this so I'm constantly reaching out and explaining how to turn notifications on (to their bewildered look).

Cannot understand why this hasn't been implemented yet! Why any different than other existing MS Office apps like Word, Excel, etc.?? This seems like a key implementation to have for any project or any team operating on a schedule (aren't they all?)

Would love this! Kind of reminiscent of a Sharepoint site page as the "Home" page for a Team.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:
- Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook
- Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams
- Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

This looks like the most voted for feature in MS Teams - I don't understand why it would still be on the backlog. Can we get an update or some context around why this hasn't been implemented yet?
