And the other way around: When the Teams mobile app detects that the mobile phone is used for a cellular call, the Teams status should be set to "Busy".
The same if the mobile phone is used for calls using any other voice apps, like WhatsApp, Skype, Facebook Messenger.

Thank you for your feedback, the team has this request under review. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
In the meantime, you may want to try using the “Do No Disturb” status if you are in a call or meeting, and do not want to get call notifications (rings and toasts). For more information on the various status settings in Teams and how they effect your notifications, including call notifications, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-your-status-in-teams-ce36ed14-6bc9-4775-a33e-6629ba4ff78e.

This bug actually makes call queues impossible to use. In a reception where you get many calls, you can't continue the current call due to disturbance from new calls entering the queue. New calls should just show up visually, maybe with just a short "beep".

When working with search, it is important to fix the "double name search bug" as well - we can't find our colleagues after we moved from on-prem to cloud!
Examples
1) Azure AD - first name: William Howard, last name: Taft -- a search for Howard returns no results
2) Azure AD - first name: William, last name: Howard Taft -- a search for Taft return nothing
3) Azure AD - first name: (Bill) William, last name: Howard Taft -- a search for Bill returns nothing, due to parentheses, they should be ignored in a search. The above searches fail both from Teams and from Microsoft 365 Admin Center / Active Users.
However, search #1 and #2 works well from the Azure AD portal / users.Peter Almer Frederiksen supported this idea ·

We also need to be able to do reverse look up on any phone number on the users AD contact card, by typing any part of the number in the search field. Just like in the Skype for Business client.

The root cause of the problem is that Teams rings loudly when new calls enter the queue, while the attendant is on a call. It should be silent and only visually show the calls waiting in the queue, or just give a short beep. If that was the case, rejecting calls will seldom be needed, as the overflow setting will handle it is too many calls comes in.
