The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

    Thanks!

And still this remains a barrier to teams acceptance.
It is a farce that people have to send me a message on Slack to tell me that they have posted something on teams or to get me to join a meeting.
Like many others we have been asking for this now for years, and all we get is roadmap roadmap.
Just allow me to install teams to different folders ( NEVER EVER in my User folders please) then at least I can have 3 or four copies running at once with their own data areas.
Secondary is of course to allow being on a call on one teams session to change my active status on all of them - and at the same turn of the "you have a calendar entry so you must be busy"

So now its the Fall, and no news?
Fast tenant switching is such a minor user requirement that I don't think any of us will use it.
What we all need NOW is the ability to interact with different teams over multiple organisations at the same time, and I mean at the same time. On a teams conf call with org A and someone in org B sends me a message that I can respond to without interrupting the call I am on.
No logging in/out etc - all my teams accounts work at the same time, and I now have four of them.

And is this VITAL, URGENT, BUISNESS REQUIRED option still on the backlog.?
Like everyone else I am getting fed up with products that assume that it knows best and gives you no options.
The downloads folder was a mistake from the very start as no one wants everything junked together in the same folder.
I must be able to keep separate the downloads from different tennants and have the ability to name the file at the same time.
Please can we have this made an urgent priority, as every other "useful" product manages to to this out of the box.

This should not be in the backlog - as many other uses report we have to run teams over multiple organisations and not being able to change the download folder is a nightmare ( just another poor implimentation making me regret moving to teams)

ALL products on the Save As button/link on a posted attachement MUST give me the option to download to a specific folder, and never just dump stuff in the generic ( read UNUSABLE ) downloads folder.

Oh and by the way when you release the multi-tenant version of teams each tenant will need to have its own download folder configured.

Fully support this necessary change. When I download an item from teams please ask me where it needs to be placed.
The "Download" folder is a waste of space and is never the right place to default.
At best we need a setting to fix the "teams" download folder or at minimum we should ALWAYS trigger the "Save As" style prompts.

Hi — My apologies for the delay in updating this item. We rolled out a fix a year ago for a specific issue of status changing to away in Teams when you were still active on the device. We thought this had fixed the “incorrect status” issue. From comments below, it sounds like people are still seeing issues.

If you are still having issues, it would be super helpful if you can capture logs by typing Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 1, and send the file from your downloads folder along with device info and detailed repro steps to teamsml@microsoft.com.

    Thanks all!

Still having issues - teams is swapping to "In a Call" or "Busy" at random times, and when it shows I cannot set my status to "Available". I am not on a call or in a meeting of any kind but teams still shows I'm not free.

Fully agree with this. I have multiple outlook accounts and it guesses which calendar to use, and then shows as "In a call" when I have not even accepted the meeting in that calendar.

Have a simple setting so that teams doe NOT NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE automatically change your status unless you actually enter and leave a teams call.

Agree the whole point of adding the additional persion is to include them within the current chat so they must be able to see the chat history. If we wanted a new chat we could create one, so why that the "add person to chat" option if you are not actually going to do that. This is such a fundamental bug with teams it should have been addressed a long time ago.

This is essential that when we have a 1:1 discussion, and we need to widen the audience we can share the complete chat history. What is the point of allowing a new persion to be invited to a 1:1 chat if it just starts a new 3 way chat without provising any context.

    Agree with everyone.
    Chat is a multiline option.
"Enter" on its own should NEVER NEVER EVER commit the text, this is different to every other app I use.
Teams should be a seamless product not something I have to relearn.
