In our law firm, we have had to set up many Client "Teams" because we don't have access control at the "Channel" level. I understand this capability is coming later this year (2019) and we are anxiously awaiting this enhancement. Until then, we have a mix of Teams with common member composition with many client "Channels" and we have many individual "Teams" centered around one client because of unique member access requirements. If, and when, the whole Teams App Access Control is extended to Channels we will need to convert individual Teams into Channels to achieve a homogeneous environment... The ability to convert Teams to Channels should be worked in parallel with Channel Access Control. Soon please.
Not only Guest access but also Tenant User access should be at the Channel level.
This continues to be on our backlog due to prioritization of other work items. We will update when there is more to share.
Still a problem two years later. This is a very much needed capability in the legal profession also. Please allow us to view either multiple photos at once or at lease easily move from one photo to the next in the same folder.
This item remains on the backlog.
This item is still in the works.
Also, thank you for the additional feedback. I will circle back to the feature team and provide a new update soon.
SharePoint doc library is setup in a tree structure to coincide with individual client cases. The lawyer teams setup in MSTeams who must work with their specific client case must be able to access the sub-folder and the many sub-sub-folders associated with their case and no other case due to privacy issues.
Microsoft Teams must have the ability to link to a specific folder within SharePoint Document Libraries.
This request is still on the backlog.
Same problem. Really need a solution. Not all people need to see all things (files).
