There are times when you just NEED to appear offline so you are not disturbed but still NEED to run teams for access to files, links, etc. Lync/Skype 4B included this feature (ok registry hack but...). With Teams including Team channels, links to files, links to other content, team channels, etc. the ability to "appear offline" is now more important than Lync/Skype days. Sooner rather than later, please.

The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

    Thanks!

I work as a consultant for a software company. Often, I have a user account assigned to me during the course of a project. Thanks to the lockdowns and not travelling, we are using Teams much more often. That also means that my project users from other organisations are also using Teams. Given the SharePoint integration for storing files, my projects are more often placing project collateral into SharePoint file repsoitories. Not being able to easily log in to a teams site for a project user makes the idea of sharing files in Teams/SharePoint useless.

The option to “discard” suggested contacts in your chat list is rolling out to users. We will be making further changes to make suggested contacts more relevant for new users in the future as well, so marking as partially completed. Thanks for your patience with this one.

And, like many of the other comments, from other people posting, the suggested list includes people no longer working for my company. Either turn the feature off or perhaps do something to make it useful. Perhaps suggest people I interact with often but not in my favourites.
