We are now preparing for the roll out of Tasks in Teams which will integrate additional features integrating To-Do and Planner. This includes additional list views that also extend to tabs in teams. Further announcements about additional integration in our overall Tasks coherence effort will follow.
You can follow the rollout via our Roadmap item: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=57213. To see a preview of the experience, please visit https://youtu.be/rTATVGroEsQ.

This continues to be on our backlog due to prioritization of other work items. We will update when there is more to share.

Really need this. We are having issues just moving files from one team to another to move data related to a channel we want to move. Older XLS/DOC/PPT files often get left behind. hoping this channel move makes the whole thing better.

Updating the status to “Try this instead” and have added the clarification that after 30 days the name is once again available.
The reason for this decision was that Channels can be restored 30 days after being deleted. During this time, we intentionally don’t support creating a channel with the same name. After the 30 days, the name is available.
You can workaround this by restoring a deleted channel, renaming it, and then deleting the channel again. The previous name is then available for use.
This workaround has already been mentioned in the comments and if an immediate reuse of a Channel Name is required, this is the recommended solution.

Your "Try this instead" only works Warren if the channel actually deletes after 30 days. We have deleted channels that were deleted 2 years ago (2017) and are still showing in the "Deleted Channel" section of the team. We cannot restore them, cannot hard delete them, and thus cannot create a new channel with the same name.

Any update? Still not done, and @Suphatra has left the company.

Does anyone have an update on this. We know Suphatra is no longer at MS. Hopefully this didn't get dropped.

You should experience significant improvements in copy & paste of images within Teams, as well as to & from Teams. We are aware of a few remaining issues, but the most common cases are resolved.
Thanks again for your patience on this one.

This is currently in internal testing rings at Microsoft, and the feature team is targeting a release to the public in early Q2.
Stay tuned!

Thank you for your feedback! We are updating this as “Partialy Done” as our first step to solving for pinned posts has been released! Pinned posts allows users from a team to pin a message for everyone in the channel to be able to easily reference. While any message can be pinnable, we expect our users to use this feature to pin information like channel guidelines or important announcements. We know this doesn’t solve all pinning scenarios, and that there is still a need to make this easier for users to find, especially within the message list. We will share another update as soon as it is available.

Hopefully this will move back up in the queue soon.-Warren

Adding any emoji as a reaction remains under review.
I am marking this as partially done to let you know a new reactions bar with Like, Heart, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Angry has begun rolling out to all users.

Thank you for your feedback! Our team is currently working on a significant update to add a broader and more diverse selection of emojis to Teams. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
The ability to add custom emojis and custom reactions is still under review, and we will share an update as soon as one is available.

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.
Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

Any update on this? It is a very VERY frustrating tool to use. I know the toolbar should auto-hide, but it often doesn't hide fast enough, and if I put my mouse on the screen to track what a user is showing the toolbar shows up! And it hides info. Today I missed info that was being shown because it was on the bottom of the screen and the toolbar got in my way!
