Thanks for all of the feedback on this one. We are reviewing how we can improve notifications around Assignments in Teams. Please keep the feedback coming!
This feature request is actively being worked upon! I’ll provide updates to this thread as it moves along.
Excited to share that this is now coming soon! We’re making it possible to view an individual student’s progress, allowing you to observe patterns in their performance over time. Thanks for everyone’s feedback.

Hi everyone – we are getting ready to release the weekly parent/guardian Assignments email summary.
If you’re interested in using this feature we recommend getting started today by setting up the Parent and Guardian Sync using Microsoft School Data Sync.
More information about how to set this up is here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/schooldatasync/parent-contact-sync
We will be sure to update you once we release this functionality inside Teams.

It would be really great to have a "Parent" role, as we have Member, owner and Guest. For us, Parent should be more than guest and less than Member.
It would be great if parents would have contribute to the chat, see some shared documents and participate, alse share them, be able to watch streem chanels (like videos about school events etc). As we see parent are also citizens of the school, but with other interests. This feature would be crutial to migrate school communities from facebook and youtube
