Hmm - installing yet another app (the Zoom one) seems to have fixed the ... menu for the time being. Now Planner shows in it, plus a couple of others I'd previously tried.

So, for those who want a "My Tasks" view, install the Planner app from the Teams store "for you". Then use the "..." menu on the left of the screen to access it. You get all of your tasks in one place then

    Ian Yates commented  ·

The planner app disappears for me from the ... menu that shows beneath Activity, Chat, Teams & Files buttons.

If I go to "More apps", find "Planner" and then click the "Available" hyperlink that shows next to "Add for you" then I'll get to the Planner interface within teams and can see My Tasks, etc across all of the plans.

However once I close out then it's gone from the ... menu again. It was there the other day and staying put. Sounds like a new bug that's just cropped up (19th Feb 2019) :(

This feature is still in the works. There was some adjustments to the overall strategy.
I’ll try to get some additional details and share them with you.

As mentioned in the prior status, the channel limit was raised from 100 to 200.

In the near future a retention limit will be set so you can still go back and reinstate a channel you had deleted. Once the retention period has expired then the channel will get a hard delete which will free up the space and no longer count toward the 200 channel limit.

This will help with some of the issues you have voiced in the comments below.
But I understand many of you wish the limit to be further increased. I will continue to provide your votes and comments to the feature team.

Wasn't aware of this. We've just started with Teams and plan on having a channel per customer.
Some customers will also get their own separate "team" and we'll invite key staff from those certain customers in to those teams as guests. However most customers don't need / want this, and even for these customers who will come in as guests, we don't want them seeing our private channel about their work either.

At the moment we've got close to 100 customers so will be able to manage, but we'll hit the limit in the next 6-9 months.

Could there be ways of at least asking Microsoft to raise the limit for a specific after a support request? I could live with that. I appreciate why you want to limit the team count - user experience issues, possible perf degradation server-side or client side, etc. But if we indicate we're aware of such things it'd be nice to get a waiver (we're a software company and can relate to the need to avoid huge unbounded lists, but also can see how 300 is not the same as 3000!)

    Thanks

Thank you all very much for the great response. The survey is now closed. The feature team will be reviewing all the data that was gathered and responded based on the findings.
Again, thank you for helping us make Microsoft Teams the best it can be.

try this instead  ·  Warren responded

Updating the status to “Try this instead” and have added the clarification that after 30 days the name is once again available.

The reason for this decision was that Channels can be restored 30 days after being deleted. During this time, we intentionally don’t support creating a channel with the same name. After the 30 days, the name is available.

You can workaround this by restoring a deleted channel, renaming it, and then deleting the channel again. The previous name is then available for use.

This workaround has already been mentioned in the comments and if an immediate reuse of a Channel Name is required, this is the recommended solution.

Good news, this feature is partially done. :)

Planner tasks can now be copied to other plans. To copy a task, click on the “…” menu on the task. From there, you can select a different plan to copy the task to.

This feature request is still being worked upon.

I am still trying to get details on what we could expect for Cortana in Teams and will share examples once something is available.
