This feature request is still being actively worked upon. Good progress is being made, but I cannot share any additional details at this time.

While we work on our Whiteboard you can also try the third party whiteboard app Freehand by Invision that can be found by clicking the Store icon from within Teams and go to the app gallery.

Thank you for all the feedback and suggestions.

Microsoft shared video 6 months ago about the new-then Whiteboard standalone app, in which it mentioned Teams integration coming soon. Hello - this is competitive market and the task here is not to put man on the moon - we are just asking for integration of the app that already is there and has been making its way to Teams since mid last year.

So many things are on back-log now - you are Microsoft, I hope you don't struggle for money to hire real developers to, you know, do some tangible work?

Excellent idea - in fact it should be possible to work in drag&drop fashion with everything.

The feature team is still reviewing, there is lots of discussion about this item and I hope to have a decision soon.

It could at least act as a link to another app, which on mobile would simply switch over to Outlook, which should have the same option to switch back.

We know you are patiently waiting for this feature. This feature is being implemented in stages. Fast tenant switching is currently in testing both internally and with early customers. We expect to release to the public in the Fall. I’ll post an update once it’s rolling out.

Full multi-tenant, multi-user support will be added after fast tenant switching.

Why do we even need to raise such obvious requests? Has nobody though about the software from the user perspective? I.e. what would users need to make their life easier and make them love our clever software because is so thoughtful and covers all small but practical bits and pieces?

Linux and MS are now the best buddies, no? Linux on Win and all that Jazz, should be simple to port the code to Linux with the tools you have.

This feature is still in the works. There was some adjustments to the overall strategy.
I’ll try to get some additional details and share them with you.

This is so confusing - Teams webapp, win32, android and iOS, even Surface Hub, but no app in native windows store. It feels MS doesn't understand what seamless should be - instead it is so convoluted and lacks any logic. Trying to buy-in into this ecosystem but it just keeps to show rookie failure one afer the other. Come on, hire someone who knows thing or two about strategy and customer experience.
