There are too many messages flying around, and take it from a Slack user that we miss things, so please help users to filter the volumes of messages flying around.

Picture this...we're a virtual company with all remote workers, so when we have a conversation we type it in a channel or a "water cooler" channel to catch up. Messages blow through at 10,000 per day in a 200 person company. Need a better way to notify/filter/prioritize

Performance has been and continues to be a big focus area for Teams. One main area we have made improvements in is responsiveness for the most frequent user actions of switching between Chat, Channel, and Activity. We are also focused on reducing resource consumption and application load time. More improvements are on the way.

Right now, I've got 2 Slack organizations running (instance to two different environments), and there's 600 MB running. Slack is a beast, plus is slows down Chrome when there's too many channels being followed.

Our entire company userbase has a min 8GB RAM, and only the special ones get 16GB ,so this should work lightning fast on 8GB. Ganbatte ne!

We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.

I'd like private channels, but better yet can't you help me prioritize messages? We've got so many messages it's hard to keep up with. This happened with Slack too, but I think MS has the lift to do something about this. I think ML could help somehow. Or even message weighting.

We know you are patiently waiting for this feature. This feature is being implemented in stages. Fast tenant switching is currently in testing both internally and with early customers. We expect to release to the public in the Fall. I’ll post an update once it’s rolling out.

Full multi-tenant, multi-user support will be added after fast tenant switching.

I should mention I hate that the section titles are cut off and I can't see them other than by clicking on them. The way confluence handles the TOC is they allow you to embed the TOC in the Wiki document as a "macro" (as they call it). That has the same effect, and I can see the sections in their full lengths.
