There is another chain where the 'If user is busy then send new call to voicemail' feature is being discussed. This should help for the DnD issue as well as it's very similar in a number of ways.

Please upvote it there too! Microsoft need to see this feature request and implement it ASAP.

We are examining a full rollout of M365 Business Voice and this is a frquent concern of users and may stand in the way of our rollout. Microsoft need to fix this.

If a user has their status set to DnD then an incoming PSTN call should not ring.

The options for what to do with an incoming call when on DnD should be configurable but the default should be set so that when on DnD calls are sent straight to voicemail.

Otherwise it's 7 more clicks (through different settings screens) to do this.

Thank you for your feedback, the team has this request under review. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

In the meantime, you may want to try using the “Do No Disturb” status if you are in a call or meeting, and do not want to get call notifications (rings and toasts). For more information on the various status settings in Teams and how they effect your notifications, including call notifications, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-your-status-in-teams-ce36ed14-6bc9-4775-a33e-6629ba4ff78e.

Microsoft please implement this 'Voicemail on Busy' feature ASAP- it is essential!. 'Busy on Busy' is not an appropriate alternative.

There is another case for the same feature here:

We are currently evaluating a full company-wide roll out of M365 Business Voice in our organisation. The lack of this essential 'Voicemail on Busy' feature is causing many issues and is likely to make us look elsewhere for our phone system.

Microsoft: Please implement this feature ASAP- it needs to be a priority!!!

Currently I am using Busy on Busy which considering I am trying to use it purely for direct dial scenarios (no call queues etc yet) is a very poor solution.

This is a major issue and needs rectifying. Microsoft Business Voice/Teams is a great package but this is slowing down our deployment considerably- users cannot get there work done like this!

This is a must! The lack of this feature has the potential to stop a full-scale rollout of M365 Business Voice for PSTN integration with Teams.

We also need a new Do Not Disturb that can send calls straight to voicemail.

I can't agree strongly enough with this. We are almost complete with our move from Skype for Business to Teams and seriously need this functionality urgently. About half of all our calls are to our clients, many of whom cannot install desktop apps.

Could someone please post an update on when we can expect this functionality to be ready?

Microsoft: It's all very well pushing for all companies to use Teams and replace Skype for Business but the product needs to be ready BEFORE you encourage all of us to move products, not afterwards!!!!!
